Yamunotri Yatra marks the starting point of the sacred Char Dham Yatra. Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, the Yamunotri Temple is located at an altitude of around 3,291 meters in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.
The yatra is both spiritually enriching and naturally beautiful.
Significance of Yamunotri Temple
Yamunotri is revered as the origin of the holy River Yamuna. According to Hindu mythology, bathing in the Yamuna frees devotees from untimely death and sins.
Pilgrims also visit Surya Kund, a hot water spring near the temple.
